What is a “nepo baby”?
“Nepo baby” — short for “nepotism baby” — refers to a person who has entered the same industry as a famous parent, grandparent, or close relative. The term is most often used for the children of actors, musicians, politicians, and athletes who go on to work in acting, music, politics, football, or other sports themselves.
Having a famous relative doesn't automatically make someone untalented, and it doesn't automatically explain their success. It does, however, typically provide real advantages: name recognition, industry connections, financial security, and early access to opportunities that most newcomers don't get. Our goal is simply to document who these family connections are — not to judge how much any individual's success is owed to talent versus lineage.

Each entry maps a founding figure to the relatives who followed them into the same field, with short biographies and links to deeper profiles on human-timeline.org. We built this as a reference — a way to see, at a glance, how fame and opportunity really move through families.
A note on the term
We use “nepo baby” throughout this site strictly as a factual, descriptive label — to identify people who followed a parent or close relative into the same field — and never as an editorial judgment of anyone's talent, work ethic, or achievements. Many people featured here are accomplished professionals in their own right. The label describes a relationship, not a verdict.
